Project Share
Project SHARE is administered by the American Red Cross and is funded by utility customers who donate through their monthly bills. All contributions are forwarded to the American Red Cross. The project operates year round and serves senior citizens, disabled persons, and those on fixed or low incomes. Clients in need apply for Project SHARE assistance at the American Red Cross office in their county.
Operation Warm
Provides assistance to people who don't qualify for LIHEAP. Community Action bases its decision about who receives Operation Warm funds on income and necessary expenses, such as medications. The program runs from Dec. 1 through May 31, during which applicants are eligible for assistance only once. Contact Community Action Partnership of North Alabama at 256-260-3112.
