Sales Tax Exemption
Registered customers with an annual household income of less than $12,000 are exempted from the sales tax on the first 500 kWh each month. To qualify, a customer will need to fill out a registration form and mail it to:

Black Hills Energy Arkansas
Hearts Warming Homes, in partnership with the Salvation Army, is an energy assistance program offering financial aid to members of the residential community who need assistance to pay for their home heating expenses. Assistance is generally offered during the heating season. Those seeking assistance in the Black Hills Energy service area can call 1-800-227-2156 or their local Salvation Army office. Good Neighbor Fuel Fund
Donations from customers and employees are matched by CenterPoint. The Good Neighbor Fuel Fund is integrated and coordinated with LIHEAP by supplementing LIHEAP dollars after the program has ended or when benefits are insufficient to meet the household's needs.

Project Help
Project Help extends a helping hand to needy senior citizens 55 years or older and handicapped persons. The program is administered by the Red Cross which screens applicants and provides relief where the need is greatest.

Power to Care
Power to Care provides emergency bill payment assistance to low-income seniors and disabled persons. It is funded through employee, customer, and shareholder contributions. Funds are distributed through nonprofit agencies, and no funds are used for administrative or fundraising purposes.
