August 15, 2017 – Canton Ohio’s Neighbor to Neighbor Utility Assistance program will be accepting applications for the summer cooling season through August 31.
To qualify for the assistance, a household or applicant’s total gross household income must be at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. For example, a family of four earning $49,200 per year qualifies as income eligible for the program.
Households are required to have a made a “sincere effort,” of payment on their electric bill in the past 90 days and have a minimum balance of $50 on their AEP Ohio bill.
