Rate Assistance
  • Energy Assistance Program
    (EAP)

    • Provides fixed annual credit for low-income customers of regulated gas and electric utilities that reduces participant's percentage of income paid on utility bills to the state median percentage of income spent on such bills, adjusted annually.
    • Average benefit $776 for FY 2014
    • Eligibility: 150% FPG
Arrears Management
  • Arrearage Payment Program
    • One-time payment to address arrears if household has paid minimum percent of income towards arrearages in past 12 months, when funding available
Energy Efficiency
  • Universal Energy Charge (UEC) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
    • Services: health and safety measures including heating and cooling system repairs and replacement, carbon monoxide monitors; air sealing, insulation, lighting and refrigerator replacement
  • Demand Side Management Programs
    (DSM)

    • Supplement DOE WAP (Utility)
