District of Columbia Ratepayer Funded Energy Efficiency

The District of Columbia's electric restructuring legislation established a Sustainable Energy Trust Fund (SETF) that funds existing energy efficiency programs administered by the District Department of the Environment. Three components provide comprehensive energy efficiency services starting with rehabilitation followed by weatherization and appliance replacement. Another component provides heating system repair, replacement and tune-ups.
