Cooling Assistance Now Available in GA

April 24, 2019 – Applications are now being accepted for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) cooling assistance in Tallatoona, Georgia. The cooling assistance will be available starting May 1, and the benefit amount will be paid directly to the energy supplier. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting the Tallatoona Community Action Partnership website, or by calling their appointment line.

The benefit awards for Tallatoona, Georgia are either $350 or $400 and is paid towards the award recipient’s electric bill. Scheduling an appointment does not mean that a benefit payment will be awarded to the applicant. Applicants are encouraged to continue making payments on their bill until a benefit award has been approved.
